As the year comes to a close, one of the best new bands of 2009 release their farewell to the decade. ‘Little Secrets’ featuring a group of school kids singing (well it is Christmas), but will sadly not cripple the seasonal charts. Without a Passion Pit themed X factor they have no chance against Lady Gaga, Janet Jackson et al.
‘Little Secrets’ is not as glorious as pervious single ‘The Reeling’, then little is, but for fans of near un-audible top end vocals, with all the right combinations of beeps and bops, it will indeed be as welcoming as a hot mince pie (that was the last Christmas comparison of the review). Passion Pit are one of the only bands of 2009 to have lived up to their hype and to quote this song, they can only get “higher and higher”.
