They may well have struggled through GCSE French on the basis of their name alone but the Camden Town-based trio were clearly paying attention when it came to their musical education. Their stock in trade is feel-good 80s-tinged synth pop which successfully channels the spirit of The Human League and Yazoo without ever feeling like a guilty pleasure.

Whilst there isn’t anything jaw droopingly original about debut single 'Dance The Way I Feel', it's a well-produced and insanely catchy little number which you will end up whistling in the shower, unwittingly boogieing to and putting on as a morning pick me up even before the Armand Van Helden remix crosses your listening path. Le Swimming Pool are here to stay and taking no prisoners.
