Mumford & Sons - The Cave
If you need any more convincing that Mumford and his Sons are an all conquering force in UK folk music, look no further.
So, Mumford & Sons are releasing another single from 2009’s wonderful debut album 'Sigh No More', which everybody already knows is going to be a delicious slice of folky goodness because that’s what we’ve come to expect from the London four piece.
The song starts with a solitary acoustic guitar and singer Marcus Mumford’s gentle vocals, but little by little a piano is added here, a drum joins in there; before you know it, we’ve reached a rich chorus of layered vocals with a menagerie of quaintly understated instruments, some familiar and some less so.
The supporting video, which was filmed during their Indian tour with Laura Marling last year, sees the band ditching their instruments and driving off on their Vespas into the sunset. If you need any more convincing that Mumford and his Sons are an all conquering force in UK folk music, look no further.
