Laura Marling - Rambling Man
A great introduction to her natural, honest writing from one of the albums of the year.
Like Scarlett Johansson, Laura Marling is a woman beyond her years. She has achieved great wonders at such a young age, and her voice is not one that revolves around the Hollyoaks Omnibus.
Backed by her lover and fellow folk- superstar Marcus Mumford, ‘Rambling Man’ isn’t the most instant single, but a perfect slice into the sound of Marling; warm, self assured, balanced by her husky and sincere vocals. She will always be called the Joni Mitchell of her generation, which is a compliment to how far she has come since her wispy debut album.
‘Rambling Man’ isn't the best song from ‘I Speak Because I Can’, but it's a great introduction to her natural, honest writing from one of the albums of the year.
