Kilto Take - Kilto Take EP

To say Kilto Take are a new band on a new label the first four tracks are delivered with some confidence. The words arena fillers would come to mind, if there wasn’t something so damn intimate going on here too.

From the word go 'Relentless' is out to make you think Feeder, early-U2 and Maximo Park. Big riffs for a big tune, personally delivered with the kind of heartfelt emotion that should surely signify something special has emerged from a UK scene lacking in ’proper’ breakthrough rock.

This first chapter in a long book notion is reinforced when the show-stopping, soaring lyrics of 'Ava' enter the fray, bringing with them an impressive barrage of guitar fire. It’s a similar situation with 'Summit', a closing track that throws a little more post-punkish darkness into the brew, but forsakes none of the anthemia of its predecessors. Altogether the result makes 'Cause & Effect' both a mid-EP atmospheric roller, and the perfect respite in this impressive introduction to a powerful band.
