In the current musical climate, it's always nice to find something with a little variety; and by variety, we don't mean originality, just something a little different.
To My Boy's new single 'Model' is a robotic slice of laptop indie electronica with a healthy dose of psychedelia injected for taste. There's a definite 80s synth influence at work here, with vocals reminding of the legendary Joy Division and David Bowie at the same time. It's stylish, it's danceable, it's energetic, it's retro and it'll take you on a space-age journey back to the 80s. To My Boy's sound is nothing new, and it's certainly not going to be crafting an entirely new genre; more of an homage to those acts which are so sorely forgotten in today's washed out music scene.
