The Hours - See The Light

The newly-expanded London based seven-piece have spent a large chunk of 2008 working with legendary producer Flood (U2, Sigur Ros, Depeche Mode) on the follow-up to their debut album 'Narcissus Road', and this single is the first fruits of their labour.

A strong message of hope emanates from this simple, yet epic, track; it takes a while to build before bursting out from all sides as the piano and haunting vocals are joined by waves of guitars and drums. It seems more hard to believe that its creators spent most of the Nineties as bit players in a string of Britpop bands, as this is widescreen guitar pop at its very best.

The accompanying short film features some disturbing artwork from Damien Hirst and a gritty performance from actress Sienna Miller to create a striking companion to the record, whilst Dekker & Johan deliver a glitch-heavy reworking that will have the ravers shaking it and the shakers raving it till the wee small hours.
