Smashing Pumpkins - Tarantula

'Tarantula' is the first single taken from Smashing Pumpkins' sixth studio album, 'Zeitgeist', and it won't disappoint either die-hard fans or those newer to the fold.

The Pumpkins' blend of progressive rock, heavy metal and pop lends them a sound which they have forged and made their own since the early 90s. 'Tarantula' is a furious song which some complex instrumental arrangements and a whole lot of kick. Billy Corgan's vocals hold up as well as they ever have, and the inclusion of some superb guitar solos will give fans a real piece of ear candy. The insistent beat coupled with the addictive chord progression gives the song a textured sound which more than lives up to the standard this band have set for themselves.

Overall, it's a slick and professional effort worthy of anyone's ear and it just goes to show that no matter how much time passes, musical talent is musical talent; and these guys have it by the bucketload.
