Razorlight - Hostage Of Love

Wikipedia says that Razorlight are an 'Anglo-Swedish indie rock band'. Having not been previously aware of their Swedish roots I wonder if they are known as such because both England and Sweden want to lay claim to Razorlight? On the strength of 'Hostage Of Love' though, it could equally be that neither country wants to accept all of the blame.

At best, it is a competent indie guitar-based pop, with a quiet intro, building towards a rousing chorus. A tale of love, narrated by a voice straining for real presence. At worst, it's an instantly forgettable single from the increasingly forgettable Razorlight. The problem is that this sounds exactly like the rest of the Johnny Borrell and co. back catalogue, giving us nothing we haven't heard before. Which is fine if you have loved and adored all of their material which has already come to pass, but will give you no reason to look it up if you're not already a paid-up member of the Razorlight fan-club.
