Ra Ra Riot - Ghost Under Rocks

They've supported Art Brut, Editors and Tokyo Police Club on their travels and their debut album 'The Rhumb Line' is out now, so it seems that New York's Ra Ra Riot are set to ruffle a considerable number of feathers in high places with their, thus far, glowing track record.

Without doubt, 'Ghost Under Rocks' shows promise of a rosie indie future catering to those who enjoy a softly beguiling sound with a sweet, string-based centre. Their particular brand of music, described as 'healing' under the genre section of their MySpace, is sort of like sucking a much needed throat sweet - pleasant, yet ultimately soothing. With shades of Arcade Fire on their side and lyrics that probe deep into the whys and wherefores of life, the Syracuse quintet take easy listening to an endearing, enjoyable level.
