Mystery Jets - You Can’t Fool Me Dennis
They may not have been fooled by Dennis, but maybe they've fooled us into taking this little number to our hearts.
"You can do anything you want, as long as it makes sense" may well be the catchiest lyric hitting our shops any time soon, courtesy of the Mystery Jets' third single release.
A perfect example of jangly indie pop, this is the song to enjoy the end of the summer sun with. There’s a touch of melancholy to the lyrical mix though as the Eel Pie Island band sing "Remember those balmy days, through rose tinted haze" - Autumn is never far away.
Musically this may not be the most exciting release this week but it’s one of those catchy little numbers - once you’ve heard it you’ll find yourself singing along without realising you are. They may not have been fooled by Dennis, but maybe they've fooled us into taking this little number to our hearts.
