Miracle Fortress - Have You Seen In Your Dreams

'Have You Seen In Your Dreams' is a mellow cut that resembles a mix between The Doves and more ambient groups such as Bibio or Boards Of Canada. After a short count in, strange gurgling noises are joined by guitars, bass and a tambourine all of which follow a consistent plodding beat throughout. Over this the singer's ethereal harmonies glide, occasionally accompanied by airy faint keyboard sounds. The lyrics blend into each other and are hard to make out, but the track's main mission seems to be to create a mood rather than deliver a message.Towards the end the band throw in a drum machine loop, which would be akin to putting a motor on a cloud if it wasn't held in check, fortunately its controlled volume allows it to merely add a hint of extra drive at the track's conclusion, without becoming too dominant. 'Have You Seen In Your Dreams' is not terribly memorable stuff, but as an ambient track it works well.
