Ladyhawke - Back Of The Van
It's a self penned tale of love and lust that is deceptively simple yet hugely addictive.
'Back Of The Van' is the debut single from New Zealand born Pip Brown and has already picked up significant support from the likes of Radio 1's Annie Mac, who've fallen in love with the gorgeous blend of Stevie Nicks-esque vocals and shimmering electronic production courtesy of Michael De Fransesco of electro whizz kids Van She.
It's a self penned tale of love and lust that is deceptively simple yet hugely addictive, noteworthy also for the fact that the multi talented Ms Brown provides not only vocals but drums, guitar and synth. Van She are also on hand to provide a suitably twisted reworking which outshadows the disco friendly madness of Fred Falke and the percussive minimalism of Mock & Toof to provide the pick of the remixes. Short, sweet and irresistible and that's just the music.
