It's business as usual for the chart bothering Tennessee natives. Caleb Followill's vocals are ever-seductive in their delivery, whilst the guitars are effective in driving the song forward and making this a melodic rock anthem to take us into the New Year. This was always destined to be a massive favourite on rock and indie dance floors worldwide and rightly so.
It's very difficult to pick holes with this family and their material, they consistently produce tight and relevant rock numbers that sound just as good when performed live as they do when you lay back and take it all in on your stereo at home. Their songs often catalogue an array of human emotions, and 'Use Somebody' ticks all the right boxes. If you are a fan already this will take you from sadness, to happiness, to plain euphoria in the space of four minutes. Pretty good then.
