Ida Maria - Oh My God

Bergen has a lot to answer for - Royksopp for one. 'Oh My God' sees Ida Maria trying to break away from the chilled out tones of her Norwegian hometown and making a fair bit of noise as she does it.

Unfortunately it sounds not unlike a cover of Kelly Clarkson at her 'feistiest'. It bears none of the wit of its Kaiser Chiefs namesake, consisting of Ida shouting out a chorus based on a repeated "oh my god, you think I'm in control". Guitars crash away and drums clatter, but it's all a bit empty - a shallow husk of a track.

B-side 'We're All Going To Hell' continues the religious themed song titles, but sees the music take a downturn into laid back melodies. Like the first track it's essentially not that bad, but it's not very good either. Completely forgettable.
