Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster - In The Garden

The Brighton rockers return with an EP after the collapse of their deal with Island Records, which is an intense four song thriller which will leave fans desperately awaiting a third album. With a fifteen date tour to support the release, Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster will be leaving fans expectant as they continue to progress with their own brand of rock psychosis. Opening with 'In The Garden', singer Guy McKnight places himself in the garden of Eden as Adam. An eclectic and powerful beginning is followed by 'You Say You're A Doctor But You're Really A Mister', a fast paced 158 second headbanger that is reminiscent of the best material they have produced since their first official release in 2002.
A screaming McKnight introduces 'Horses Can Swim' which feels slightly disjointed until the drums kick in. An expertly placed drop in temperature featuring a softly picked guitar gives the song an intelligent edge, which is reprised before the song climaxes with a final chorus. The chilling 'Terrible Night' is a reminder of just why the band have had support slots with System Of A Down, with a clever guitar technique and jolting vocal that sounds fresh and inventive.
