Long established and pioneers of the, well, confessional style of music, Dashboard Confessional haven't been scared to stick to their acoustic-based 'emo' roots. 'Don't Wait' may have a veneer of backing artists and studio polish on it, but at the heart of it is still a song suitable for the campfire.
'Don't Wait', along with its equally well-written B-sides, is also unlike many in its genre - it's positive, and so refreshing to hear a track of late that isn't likely to raise teenage depression levels threefold. To top this off, singer/songwriter Chris Carrabba is a good-looking rocker with a heart of gold and buckets of talent. It's no wonder he's survived and flourished.
