Clocks - All I Can

This new track from Clocks sounds as if it has been released in the wrong decade, clearly drawing influence from early Britpop groups like The Wonder Stuff or Dodgy, it is odd to hear this type of fare in the 21st century.

The sound is unsurprising, starting with a guitar riff which persists throughout, and it is soon joined by the rhythm section and a cheesy organ sound which has been resurrected from about 1994. The song doesn't really go anywhere and actually sounds a little manufactured. Almost three minutes long, with music and lyrics that are both bland and lacking substance - you almost forget them while you listen. There is nothing bad about 'All I Can', but little that you would call good either. The embodiment of average.
