MK1 have fallen victim to the public vote and been sent packing from The X Factor.
Kye Sones found himself in the bottom two with MK1. The vote was taken to deadlock once again after the judges were split on who to save.
Before the culling began, the finalists took to the stage to sing 'Ain't Nobody'. Ella Henderson and Jade Ellis stood out individually, while Christopher Maloney and Rylan Clarke sang like their intimate areas were under attack.
Labrinth made an obligatory appearance as Simon Cowell cracked his whip. The star performed with a grand piano before woman-of-the-moment Emeli Sandé joined him to sing 'Beneath Your Beautiful'. There were also some oddly Kryptonian crystal effects on the stage with them. Once over, Labrinth plugged his album, Dermot announced the earth-shattering FIVE-MINUTE WARNING and the imminent arrival of JLS.
Dermot mocked Gary Barlow with the revelation that Robbie Williams has endorsed Rylan on Twitter. He then asked the judges to name the contestants they thought were in trouble: Nicole Scherzinger said Christopher, Gary Barlow said Jade Ellis. Tulisa Contostavlos refused to name someone and Louis Walsh said Jade was in trouble. Shut up, Louis.
JLS seemingly mimed 90% of their performance, but that's fine because their live performances can be a mixed bag. Dermot praised their muscles, half-heartedly praised their single and quickly shooed them off the stage after they endorsed James Arthur.
And so it was that we arrived at the shocking revelation: Christopher was safe for another week! That was our WTF moment of the night, so props to the ITV1 show and the viewing public for still being able to surprise us.
Kye sang 'I Can't Make You Love Me' and MK1 sang 'Man Who Can't Be Moved'. Gary voted to save Kye, Louis voted to save MK1; Nicole deliberated momentarily before voting to send home MK1, while Tulisa voted to save MK1 because they're "a mini-NDUBZ in-the-making". The vote was taken to deadlock once again.
MK1 received the lowest vote and were sent home from the competition. Louis said he wanted them to get a record deal, but didn't seem that bothered in the end. We're only three weeks in and the likelihood of them getting a record deal is fairly slim.
Do you think MK1 deserved to go? Or were you hoping Kye would leave the competition? How is Christopher Maloney still standing?
Despite all the lingering questions, we're still voting #shutuplouis
