X Factor ‘80s week: who went home tonight?

X Factor's '80s week gave us everything we could want: good performances, bad ones, bickering and a few Muppets. But two people had to leave and tonight gave us the next two casualties of the Syco machine. Stephanie Nala and Chloe Jasmine have both been eliminated in the live results show, leaving Cheryl with just two acts.

Dermot announced that Chloe Jasmine, Stephanie and Stereo Kicks were in the bottom three. Stephanie was first to find out her fate in the most obvious revelation of the night following her sing-off last week. It's not that Stephanie's bad necessarily, but she's not cut out to be a solo singer.

Chloe performed first in the sing-off with her version of 'Will You Love Me Tomorrow?' with nerves affecting her voice in places. Stereo Kicks took to the stage with their awful version of 'I'll Stand By You' where, once again, they mostly just stepped forward to sing solo lines instead of performing like an actual band.

Cheryl opted to send home Stereo Kicks, while Louis Walsh chose to send Chloe home. No surprises there then. Dermot then went to Mel, who chose to send home Chloe. Simon Cowell defended Chloe before criticising Louis Walsh's mentoring skills and ultimately choosing to save Stereo Kicks. The result leaves Cheryl with just Lola Saunders and Lauren Platt.

It wouldn't be a results show without another group performance and tonight's was less of a horror show than last week's, though it was at least marginally better. It did give Only the Young and Ben Haenow another chance to shine, as well as allowing Jake Quickenden to sound strong for the first time this series.

Jessie J also made an appearance to sing her number one single, 'Bang Bang,' and even though she was missing Ariana and Nicki, she still managed to give a surprisingly good performance.

Did your favourites make it through? Will you miss the wonderful Chloe Jasmine? Can she join Stereo Kicks?
