Stereo Kicks split: the world mourns

Millions are in mourning after this weekend's sad news: Stereo Kicks have split after just one year together. The super-sized boyband was put together on The X Factor last year in an attempt to recreate the magic of One Direction by cramming eight testosterone-charged lads together. (If five was the magic number before, eight just had to yield even better results, right?)
The boys were put together by Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh after they failed to make it through as solo singers. As a band, they suffered mixed reviews on The X Factor. Even their own mentor – the incomprehensible Louis – couldn't remember their names or tell them apart. They were eventually booted off the show in Jukebox Week.
Despite their rocky beginnings, they told the world they would stay together to release music. Unfortunately for them, no major label would sign them. They eventually released their debut single, 'Love Me So,' in June and reached number 31 in the UK charts – a fairly respectable position for an act without strong backing.
Stereo Kicks were Reece Bibby, Barclay Beales, Tom Mann, Jake Sims, Charlie Jones, Casey Johnson, James Graham and Chris Leonard.
