Biffy Clyro and newly reformed rockers Fall Out Boy are set to play prominent slots at Reading and Leeds Festivals 2013.

The 'Opposites' band are the second confirmed headline act for the weekend alongside Eminem. A third headliner will be unveiled later this month.

Reading and Leeds Festivals 2013 are set for the weekend of August 23-25.

Fall Out Boy made their return to music today and were quickly announced for their only UK festival appearance of the summer. Their new album Save Rock and Roll is set for release on May 6, the same day as Vampire Weekend's third studio album.

Zane Lowe announced the new line-up additions live on BBC Radio 1 tonight. Jake Bugg, Foals, System of a Down, and Bring Me the Horizon will also play sets at the festivals.

Festival Republic boss Melvin Benn previously spoke of his excitement over this year's Reading and Leeds Festivals: "I've got quite a strong buzz and feeling in myself in the changes that I'm making there.

"I'm still formulating the ideas. There will be quite a bit more dance music, quite a bit more other bits and pieces."
