Pink confirmed work on a new album this week via Twitter.

"Let's get to making some tuuuunes. Looney tunes."

Pink's new album will be her first studio album since 'Funhouse' in 2008. 'Funhouse' achieved platinum status around the world and landed at number one in several countries after 'So What' brought the singer huge success.

Pink's most recent release was a greatest hits compilation entitled 'Greatest Hits... So Far!!!', which has sold over 3 million copies worldwide since its release in 2010. The album marked Pink's tenth year as a recording artist.

Her sixth studio album is expected in 2012, with a tour to follow in 2013.
