Midweek chart update: Cheryl Tweedy-Cole-Fernandez-Versini set for number one

Cheryl Cole's comeback is officially a success. 'Crazy Stupid Love' has gone straight to number one on the Official Charts Company's midweek update.

The collaboration with Tinie Tempah is the clear winner in the race for number one, too, after selling 77,000 copies this week so far. They're currently ahead of MAGIC! by 22,000 copies and are likely to increase that as the week goes on. MAGIC!'s 'Rude' is at number two.

Charli XCX's 'Boom Clap' is the third highest new entry at number three ahead of Ella Henderson's 'Ghost' at number four. Rixton fall four places to number five with 'Me and My Broken Heart'.

'Budapest' is at number six with George Ezra slipping just one place this week so far. Ariana Grande is at seven with 'Problem' and Will.i.am's 'It's My Birthday' is at eight.

Neon Jungle are at number nine with 'Louder', while MK, Alana and Route 94 complete the top 10 with 'Always'.

Walking Dead soundtrack favourite Jamie N Commons is a new entry at 12 with 'Jungle' and Nicole Scherzinger takes a bit of a tumble to 13 with 'Your Love'.

A lot has been made of the Cheryl Cole versus Cher Lloyd 'chart battle' in the run up to this week, but Cher is struggling to break the top 30 with her comeback single. 'Sirens' is at 29 today.
