Maccabees, Bombay Bicycle Club, The Big Pink and The Drums for NME tour

Look busy - NME is back

The Maccabees

Remember when the NME tours used to all be abut new bands and mixing up genres? Yeah, they were rubbish. The headliners were always some terrible metal-lite band that the mag had cringily fastened onto the week before, and inevitably the only good act would be second on. Much better just plonk somebody people actually want to see in the top slot and fluff it up with some nice, safe indie filler. Next year's edition continues the money-in-the-bank trend with lovable Arcade Fire impressionists The Maccabees in the top slot, plus support from less lovable Interpol imitators Bombay Bicycle Club, faux-gay shoegazers The Big Pink and token up-and-comers The Drums. Yum!
