Kylie Minogue has today revealed that she will release her 12th studio album in 2013.
Minogue has been recording new material for the album at the Abbey Road Studios. In an interview with Metro, the singer said of the recording so far: "I have started on new music. It should be ready for 2013."
Minogue has felt a special connection with the studios due to its history with The Beatles: "I thought, 'How much difference can a studio make?' but it is a beautiful studio. The sound is just gorgeous - you know you are on hallowed ground."
The Australian singer also teased big-name guests for 'Aphrodite' follow-up that would be "really exciting and different".
Minogue's 2001 single 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head' was named as the most-played song of the last 10 years.
Minogue will release a greatest hits compilation in 2012 to coincide with her 25th year as a recording artist. The compilation will be titled, appropriately enough, 'K25'.
