Where would we be without Kanye West and his penchant for getting himself caught up in frequent shit-storms? We'd be bored. Kanye has called into an American radio show to complain about only being seventh on a list of the greatest rappers.

MTV must be basking in the whirlwind of publicity today. The entertainment website is counting down a list of the greatest rappers, but after placing Kanye seventh on the list, they inadvertently made the rapper see red again.

Kanye called US radio station Hot 97 to complain that his placing had more to do with his celebrity lifestyle and his girlfriend, rather than a real assessment of his talent.

"Number seven bothers me. They don't like Givenchy Kanye; they don’t like Kanye in a kilt; they don't like Kanye in a relationship."

"For them to put me at number seven, they had to bring up things they didn't like. They didn't like the Cruel Summer album. They want to diss me."
