Updated: GWL reports Azealia has now been dropped from Interscope following her homophobic slur.

Jake Shears has weighed in on the Perez Hilton and Azealia Banks' furore with his own two cents. And as you'd imagine, he doesn't appreciate Banks' use of the f-word.

Azealia referred to Perez Hilton as a "messy f*ggot" yesterday after he criticised her publicised spats with other female artists. She then told the controversial blogger to go and kill himself.

Jake took a mocking tone at first, writing: "Oh yeah. 'Faggot.' Totally cool. Give me a fucking break."

He then clarified: "It all about context. And right now, I'm sorry, but context is not on your side... Donna Summer was ostracized for a decade from words she used about her gay fans. Too bad she didn't have twitter to recant them immediately."

After Azealia suffered a huge public backlash agains on Twitter, she then defended her comments: "If u listen to my music and are not offended by the word nigga... We're not gonna go here with this f*ggot shit... We're just not. Lol."
