Chris Brown bags first UK album number one as he unseats Linkin Park

It seems fortune really does favour the bold. Chris Brown has won his first UK album number one with 'Fortune'.

The singer entered the chart at number one with his newest album, managing to unseat Linkin Park from the top and send them packing to second place.

Brown's musical career has continued to climb despite an overwhelming swathe of public opinion since his incident with Rihanna. Could this be the moment that Brown finally shakes off his past?

As Linkin Park claim the respectable second place, Maroon 5 are a non-mover at two with album 'Overexposed'.

Although there was little movement in the rest of the top 10, Ed Sheeran fell one place to four with '+', while Paul Simon's classic 'Graceland' re-entered the chart at six.

'The Very Best Of The Stone Roses' moved to number 20 as the band rode the wave of their acclaimed Heaton Park shows. The success of the live shows also saw their self-titled album move to number 42 in the chart.
