Cheryl is riding the wave of success as Amazon pre-orders for ‘A Million Lights’ place her at number one.
Already on course for the fastest-selling single of the year with ‘Call My Name’, Cheryl can now look forward to a potential number one album next week.
Cheryl’s pre-orders are outperforming Justin Bieber’s ‘Believe’ - also released on June 18 - by a margin of almost 2:1 at Amazon UK.
“With Cheryl’s ‘Call My Name’ dominating our radio waves, there is a genuine excitement about the release of ‘A Million Lights’ which looks set to become one of the biggest sellers of the year so far,” said Paul Firth, music manager at Amazon.co.uk Ltd.
“Cheryl is really establishing herself as a leading female solo artist here in the UK and looks set to have a third number one album.”
This should allay any fears that Cheryl had about being away for so long, despite heavy criticism over recent weeks over her ‘live’ performances.
Time will tell if Cheryl can bring that magic touch to the impending Girls Aloud reunion.
