It's official: Cheryl Cole will return to The X Factor UK as a judge for the first time since 2010. The 'Call My Name' singer will return to the talent show in series 11 alongside Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and an as-yet-unannounced fourth judge, which is now likely to be Olly Murs.
The news came through tonight via Cheryl's Instagram account when she posted a picture of her choking Simon with the message: "GUESS WHAT!!.. I'm baaaacccckkkkk!!!! #iMayActuallyRingHisNeck #XFactor2014 [sic]"
Cheryl's return deal is estimated to be for £1.5 million and one series, with the option to extend the contract if the reunion is the big draw Simon expects it to be.
In ITV insider revealed: "“The deal was done over the weekend. Simon is absolutely delighted to have her back on the judging panel."
Simon Cowell also confirmed her return: "It's official. Cheryl is back."

Olly is now hot favourite to take the last seat on the panel for series 11 as Simon shakes up the show for his long-awaited return. Official confirmation will come in the next few weeks.
