Damon Albarn has debuted a new Blur song during a gig with Graham Coxon.
Performing a pre-Brits gig at the O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire, the Blur front-men closed the War Child charity show with 'Under The Westway'.
Albarn said: "We wrote this one up the road a couple of weeks ago."
'Under The Westway' is a slow, melodic ballad. It marks the first new material from Blur since 2010. 'Westway' embodies everything that made Blur a shining example of Brit-pop; Albarn's raw vocals over a sorrowful melody.
Blur will be reunited at the 2012 Brit Awards, marking the first time they have played together since 2009. Alex James, Dave Rowntree, Coxon and Albarn will accept a gong tomorrow for 'Outstanding Contribution to Music'.
A long time coming, if you ask us.
