Blackpool Empress Ballroom Have Roof Fail, Enter Shikari Gig Cancelled
Oh dear. Enter Shikari were forced to cancel their gig at the Blackpool Empress Ballroom last Saturday.
Oh dear. Enter Shikari were forced to cancel their gig at the Blackpool Empress Ballroom last Saturday (6th February) because Health & Safety pulled the plug.
A message from the band's "people" reads: "During the band's soundcheck, structural issues with the building came to light, and Health & Safety officers pulled the show.
The band spent four and a half hours sitting and talking with disappointed fans and explaining the situation.
Enter Shikari and their management would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all the fans who, though obviously upset, were understanding, plus thank you to the security team for their sterling work under difficult circumstances."
There will be a rescheduled date, although whether this date will happen in Blackpool is uncertain. It will not be at the Empress Ballroom (we can't find any info about it on their website. Maybe Enter Shikari are just a bit too noisy for them?). Tickets for Blackpool will remain valid for the make-up show, or refunds are available at point of purchase.
