Azealia Banks' representatives have come forward to deny rumours that she's been dropped by Interscope Records.

Rumours circulated over the weekend when GossipWeLove posted an email chain alleging that the singer had been dropped. And following a slew of downhearted tweets from Azealia, it looked like that rumour was true. But not quite.

"Azealia Banks is currently in the studio recording her debut album, which will be released this year through Interscope in the US and Polydor in the UK," a statement read.

The '212' courted controversy when she called Perez Hilton "faggot", "dickbreath" and a "cunt" on Twitter. Floodgates opened soon after that with Jake Shears and GLAAD both criticising her comments as 'out of context' and 'bullying'.

Hilton tweeted Banks directly, seemingly looking to aggravate the rapper: "Some of your music is cute, but your attention-seeking ways are pathetic and hurtful. You drag while others choose to uplift!"

Banks responded: "Whatever, bitch, you tried to sign me to ur little bum ass label in ’11 with them bullshit ass artists…"

Are you glad Azealia will release her debut album after all? Do you wish the story would just go away now?
