Adam Lambert has insured his voice for £30 million after the phenomenal success of his tour with Queen. Originally slated as a brief run of dates across North America, the tour has since added more dates in New Zealand, Asia and Australia to meet growing demand from both Queen fans and Glamberts worldwide, who are screaming for more live shows.
The Mirror is reporting that the American Idol star has taken out insurance on his voice worth £30 million to protect both him and Queen in the (hopefully unlikely) event that he becomes ill or suffers vocal damage.
A source also revealed: "He has taken out insurance on his voice. His voice is a powerhouse and the explosive success of the Queen tour has made everyone more cautious. They just want peace of mind – it's as simple as that."
Queen guitarist Brian May recently praised Adam's influence on the band, admitting that the glam rocker has woken up them up "just in time".
