US Shortlist Prize Nominees Announced
LCD Soundsystem and Justice among the artists up for the US equivalent of the Mercury Prize.
The nominations for this year's Shortlist Prize have been revealed.
The US music prize is their equivalent of the UK's Mercury Prize, and 2008 sees LCD Soundsystem and Justice up for the awards. Artists must have sold less than 500,000 albums in the US to be eligible.
The winner of Shortlist Prize will be announced next month. The ten albums are:
Arcade Fire – 'Neon Bible'
Burial – 'Untrue'
Feist – 'The Reminder '
Justice – 'Cross'
LCD Soundsystem – 'Sound of Silver'
M.I.A. – 'Kala'
Spoon – 'Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga'
Stars – 'In Our Bedroom After the War'
Wilco – 'Sky Blue Sky'
Working for a Nuclear Free City – 'Businessmen & Ghosts'
