Green Day Working With Butch Vig
The band confirm reports that the producer is working on their new album, by posting studio footage.
Green Day have confirmed reports that Butch Vig is producing their new album.
Last week, Vig's Garbage bandmate Shirley Manson mentioned in an interview with Carson Daly that the drummer was working with Green Day: "I'm doing the TV show, Butch is producing Green Day..."
Now Green Day have posted a YouTube video showing Vig in a recording studio with them, which can be seen below.

The album will be Green Day's eighth, and Vig was responsible for producing classics like Nirvana's 'Nevermind' and 'Siamese' by Smashing Pumpkins.
