Bjork Wins Trio Of Music Video Awards
The inaugural UK Music Video Awards see Hot Chip and Kate Nash take home prizes.
The winners of the inaugural UK Music Video Awards were announced last night (14th October), with Bjork taking home three prizes.
The ceremony took place at London's Odeon West End, hosted by Adam Buxton, and saw music videos being awarded in genre categories as well as for their technical achievements. Bjork's 'Wanderlust', directed by US team Encyclopedia Pictura, won video of the year overall, as well as best art direction and best indie/alternative video.
Nima Nourizadeh, whose credits include Hot Chip, Santogold and CSS was named Best Director award, while James Copeman won Best New Director for his work on Mystery Jets, Noah And The Whale and Laura Marling's promos. Film director Jonathan Glazer was given the Icon award for his Nineties videos, including those for Radiohead, Jamiroquai and Massive Attack.
