Bernard Butler, Calvin Harris Win At Producers Awards

The inaugural Music Producers Guild Awards 2009 took place in London last night (12th February).Bernard Butler was named Producer Of The Year, and was presented with his prize by Duffy, whose album he produced. Butler will now become the winner of the BRIT award for best producer this month.
Elbow won best album and single of the year, while Girls Aloud's 'Tangled Up' was awarded best live album.

Recording Engineer of the Year: James Towler
Best Mix Engineer: Cenzo Townsend
Best Mastering Engineer: Ray Staff
Best Live Album: Girls Aloud - 'Tangled Up'
UK Album of the Year: Elbow - 'The Seldom Seen Kid'
UK Single of the Year: Elbow - 'One Day Like This'
Best Remixer: Calvin Harris
The Joe Meek Award for Innovation in Production: Brian Eno
Best Newcomer: Paul Epworth
Best Studio: British Grove Studios
Best International Producer of the Year: Danger Mouse (AKA Brian Burton)
Unsung Hero: Andy McBride
Music Producers Guild Special Recognition Award: Chris Blair
