Space Elevator write and release ‘I Will Find You (Gallifrey Dreams)’ for Doctor Who series 8

Former cast members of We Will Rock You have banded together to form a new band called Space Elevator. And in honour of Peter Capaldi's first outing as The Doctor in tomorrow night's series eight première, they've written a song for this new incarnation of the universe's favourite hero: 'I Will Find You (Gallifrey Dreams).' As far as tributes go, it's a catchy little love song dedicated to the timeless Time Lord.

Space Elevator's frontwoman Duchess has admitted to holding a torch for each and every regeneration of The Doctor: from grouchy old William Hartnell through to curly haired Colin Baker, Matt Smith and Peter Capaldi. Worryingly, she even says she has a soft spot for the TARDIS, but we'll gloss over that because the song's as good as the one performed by the Ood long ago...

Doctor Who series eight starts tomorrow night on BBC One (August 23) at 7.50pm (UK), but you can see it in selected cinemas across the UK, including Empire and Cineworld. It also airs on BBC America at 8.15pm.
