Win the chance to come to London for the London 2012 Olympic Games! Compete to become a Samsung Global Blogger and you could find yourself experiencing life in the capital during the most exciting event of the year.
What's a Samsung Global Blogger? Good question.
Hand-picked by celebrity judges, the Samsung Global Bloggers will be invited to London to seek out the best the city has to offer during the Games and presenting it to the world via their very own, specially created video blog. The first step to becoming a Samsung Global Blogger is to submit a 30 second video in English of you telling us why you would be great at hunting out the best stories London has to tell during The Olympics.
They're looking for:
Confidence and energy in front of the camera;
A passion for your subject matter;
Imagination and originality;
A good sense of humour;
A social butterfly;
The ability to tell a story well through video and the written word.
For more details on how to submit your entry, just watch the video below and click on it to find out more.
Once the entry period is finished, celebrity judges will pick out a selection of the best entrants. These finalists will be given a second challenge: they will have to video report looking at how their hometown is connecting with the London 2012 Olympics.
Maybe there’s an up-and-coming local athlete who hopes to compete in the Games someday…
Or is there a local venue where people will be able to watch their favourite events?
Which of the sports featured in the Games are popular in your area?
Or can you find an Olympic Games superfan who could tell you what they’re getting excited about?
The celebrity judges will then pick out a handful of the best ones to win the grand prize: a fully paid-up trip to London for the Olympics. Once there, you’ll record the events, atmosphere and reaction the biggest sporting event of the year on your very own Samsung Global Blogger blog.
