This reviewer actually had the misfortune to encounter 'Talk About It' by The Metros before it plopped like a cockney burden onto the door mat. Seeing the video on television the very same morning that it arrived in the post, the same reviewer felt compelled by the sheer horror of the song to watch until the end just to see who the track was by so as to avoid any future contact with it.
No doubt The Metros think of themselves as loveable 'scamps' but their brand of no frills, 'keeping it real' raw production and stories that you wouldn't want to overhear on the tube are anything but charming. Add this to the rapid-fire delivery of vocalist Saul Adamczewski and you have a sound that makes Dirty Pretty Things sound like Radiohead.
Just when you think it couldn't get worse The Metros decide that what this track needs is a football chant at the end because, well because they like football presumably and they wanted to work this love of the beautiful game into their song. Alas it doesn't work.
