Here's a riddle for you: I'm harder than Hot Chip, happier than Bloc Party in their latest electro-fied incarnation, and have similar vocal stylings to Aussie upstarts Pendulum (minus the drum 'n' bass) - what am I? Well, even if the answer wasn't at the top of the page, you wouldn't have to puzzle over it for too long. Who else could it be but DIOYY?

Often compared to nu rave innovators Klaxons, the Reading quartet actually owe more to veteran digitalists Justice and Daft Punk and it's well heard on this, yet another outing from their debut 'You Don't Know What You're Getting Yourself Into'. Oh, and don't pay any heed to the George Romero allusion of the title; nothing about this brings rampaging, flesh-eating zombies to mind. In fact, compared to their previous releases, it's light and bright with a sprinkling of 80s nostalgia à la Mystery Jets. Imagine showering yourself with a bottle of Lilt on a hot summer’s day – a tropical burst of refreshing electro-pop, aided in no small part by the novel use of steel pans during the chorus. An incongruous combo, but it really works.

Just as well, because this'll hopefully be the one that becomes their crossover hit. About time, too.
