'Popsong' grooves and pulsates its way through all four minutes and eleven seconds of garage indie rock for happy teens. Reminiscent of Bloc Party in the neo-train of thought style of track, the song is a pretty standard arrangement which should do nothing to detract from the effect of tunes like this, whilst falling someway short of the elegance of classics such as Peter, Bjorn and John's 'The Chills'.
To say the band have been around for some time without ever breaking through into large-scale chart success suggests that there is less profit-hungry 'give them something we know they like' and more passion on show here. The riff-heavy, pacey nature of the track should ensure they have a good live number to add to their oeuvre and, although forgettable at first, a couple of listens ensures this sticks in your mind.
