There'll be no avoiding Arctic Monkeys in 2006, but then that's no surprise to anyone. If hype needed a new definition, these Sheffield boys would probably be it.
Whether they actually live up to it is another matter. Debut single proper 'I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor' went to Number One, and most likely deserved it. As the circus around their debut album reaches boiling point, 'When The Sun Goes Down' has a lot to live up to.
First of all, it's not as good as it's predecessor, but then it'd be doing well to top that. Less immediate, but certainly more wordy, it's still more than a match for 95% of the chart. For a track about Northern prostitutes, that's no mean feat.
