You must have heard of Jeremy Warmsley by now - it's just a name that hangs in the air. Once when listening to the Radcliffe and Maconie show, one of the hosts remarked that it was an interesting moniker as it sound like "a weird boy you went to school with". Switching from an icy electronic verse into a rockier stop/start chorus, Warmsley never really seems to connect with his tale of romantic intimidation.
Intelligent but cold, Warmsley never does quite manage to lose his cool and tap into any passion or emotion - part of the problem that he is never the most exciting of vocalists. Perhaps this is a bit harsh; Jeremy does seem a competent songwriter and the track is furnished with enough hooks to keep a casual listener interested, but when you've been hearing a name spoken of for so long in high regard you just hope for something more, which Jeremy doesn't seem capable of right now.
