Count them, go on... count every single half - nay quarter - decent Australian music act on the planet. Struggling? Thinking about adding Men At Work? Well have no fear, because thanks to Cut Copy the antipodes have a genuinely hot electronic act you can dance or dream the night away to.
Since their luxuriously listenable debut album 'Bright Like Neon Love', the band's profile has grown from also-rans to genuine challengers for the title of world's most exciting electronic artists. As such, much can be expected from new single 'Hearts On Fire', but sadly it disappoints on a number of levels. Almost lampooning the genre with some truly monumental cheesy lyrics, it's hard to take any of it seriously. Worse still are the lazy antiquated backing synths which are both uninspired and nauseatingly unlistenable. Sorry, but it's back to the drawing board for Cut Copy.
