Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong have cancelled the release of their debut album.
The self-titled LP was meant to be released on 4th August, but their manager Raye Cosbert suggested to the band they shelve the album for the near future. Speaking to NME, Cosbert said: "They've grown as musicians, the album was recorded too early in their career." The plan is now to re-record the album for release in 2009: "The band have all agreed that's it's the best thing to do.
Their manager confirmed all live dates booked would be honoured. Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong have yet to say when re-recording will take place.
