Whatever the critics make of this, it will unquestionably be one of the tunes not far away from the public conscious over the (hopefully) warm July and August evenings, be it in a bar, club or perhaps more likely, the distant sound of a workman's radio.

After having worked with Mark Ronson (pre superstardom), and given this year's arrival of Sam Sparro-mania it would seem that the time is right for the London boy to hit the big time in the world of pop-oddness. Described elsewhere as funk-n-roll or rock and blues, it seems pointless to try and put more of a finger on this sound given the aforementioned failures to get it right - let's just say it is different enough to be noticed, accessible enough for your nan and carries enough of the gloss and sex appeal of the aforementioned Sparro to ensure widespread media support.

Reminiscent of the plethora of tunes you come back from Malia screaming until the air stewardess warns you about prosecution on return to the UK, it bounces along in the style one might expect from a cartoon dog in a top hat on a busy London high street in summer. Humming backing vocals bringing on the old school funk vibes, whereas a solid wibble-esque bass section and electro synths position it firmly in the pop of today. Whilst Leon's voice is enough to carry the tune, the same cannot really be said about the lyrics, which re-install the feeling of throwaway pop.
