The Long Blondes' guitarist Dorian Cox is in a serious condition in hospital after falling ill last week.
The band posted on their official website that Dorian was rushed to a Sheffield hospital on 9th June, where he remains as he recovers. As a result, The Long Blondes have cancelled their forthcoming live dates, including a recently announce support slot with Duran Duran.
The statement on the site adds: "Dorian is improving slowly and we will keep you updated on his condition. If you would like to leave a message on MySpace, Facebook, or through the website, we would be glad to pass them on to him when we visit."
The cancelled dates are:
